Detect Vite in any GitHub repo

Vite is a fast frontend build tool and dev server powered by native ES modules in development and Rollup/Rolldown for production builds.

Why show Vite on your README

Many projects migrated from Webpack to Vite and never updated their badges. Reading vite.config keeps the build tool on the card accurate.

How Vite is detected

Stack Fingerprint reads the repo's full file tree in one GitHub API call and flags Vite when it finds any of these:

  • Files or folders: /^vite\.config/
  • Dependencies in package.json: vite

Vite README badge

A static badge you can paste anywhere in Markdown:

Or let the repo describe itself

Static badges go stale the moment you swap a dependency. A Stack Fingerprint card is generated from the repo, so Vite (and everything around it) appears or disappears on its own:

Replace OWNER/REPO with your repository, or open the builder to pick a theme and layout.
